ToyotaCare is the no-cost maintenance plan that comes with every new Toyota bought or leased, and how long it lasts now depends on the model year: 2 years or 25,000 miles for 2026 and older models, and 1 year or 10,000 miles on most models starting with 2027. Bud Clary Toyota of Yakima handles ToyotaCare visits at our Union Gap service department, open Monday through Saturday.

What the maintenance plan pays for
ToyotaCare covers the normal factory scheduled maintenance in your vehicle's Warranty and Maintenance Guide. Toyota recommends service every 6 months or 5,000 miles, though some models run on a different schedule, so a maintenance-light visit doesn't automatically include an oil and filter change.
Anything outside the guide is yours to pay for, including extra services an advisor recommends. Ask whether an item is part of your scheduled maintenance before you agree to it. The maintenance side of ToyotaCare is valid only in the continental U.S.
Roadside Assistance on Yakima Valley roads
ToyotaCare's 24/7 Roadside Assistance includes the services below. It doesn't pay for parts or fluids beyond limited emergency fuel, and it works in the continental U.S., Hawaii and Canada. On a breakdown out past Sunnyside or up US 12 toward White Pass, a 25-mile tow may not reach Union Gap, so ask the dispatcher where the vehicle is headed. Toyota's support page lists the roadside phone number.
- Battery jump starts
- Lockout help
- Tire service
- Winching
- Towing up to 25 miles
- Limited emergency fuel delivery
Using ToyotaCare at Bud Clary Toyota of Yakima
You don't need to return to the dealer that sold you the vehicle. Toyota says ToyotaCare maintenance can be done at any participating Toyota dealer that uses Toyota Genuine Parts when available, and that includes our service department at 2230 Longfibre Rd. Book a time with our online scheduler or call us. We're open Monday through Saturday, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and our free courtesy shuttle can give you a ride while the work is done.
Long commutes use up the newer plan quickly. A 2027 driven daily from Sunnyside, Ellensburg or the Tri-Cities can reach 10,000 miles well before its first year is out, and coverage stops at whichever limit comes first, so schedule by the odometer as much as the calendar.
Buying a used Toyota with ToyotaCare left
Toyota lets ToyotaCare pass to later owners of eligible models while the vehicle is still inside its eligibility period, which Toyota bases on model year and the date of first use. Shopping a late-model Toyota on our used lot? Add its VIN on Toyota's maintenance plans page, or ask our service advisors to look up how much coverage is left.
When ToyotaCare runs out
Toyota offers two ways to keep prepaid maintenance going, both bought through a Toyota dealer: ToyotaCare Plus, which picks up after ToyotaCare on a new Toyota, and Toyota Service Care, a prepaid plan with Roadside Assistance that can be renewed. Ask our service department what either one would cost for your vehicle.
Prefer to pay per visit? Check our service specials, our Toyota oil change page and the tire shop.

Frequently asked questions
How long is ToyotaCare on a 2027 Toyota?
For most 2027 models, one year or 10,000 miles of no-cost scheduled maintenance, whichever comes first, plus 24/7 Roadside Assistance for 2 years with unlimited miles. A 2027 Prius, plug-in hybrid or battery EV gets 3 years of Roadside Assistance, and Toyota keeps the bZ, bZ Woodland and bZ4X at 2 years or 25,000 miles of maintenance.
Is ToyotaCare transferable?
Yes. It moves to later owners of eligible models as long as the vehicle is still inside its eligibility period, which depends on model year and date of first use.
Do I have to go back to the dealer I bought from?
No. Any participating Toyota dealer can perform ToyotaCare maintenance, including our Union Gap service department, even if the vehicle was bought somewhere else.
Does ToyotaCare include an oil change every time the maintenance light comes on?
Not necessarily. Toyota says some models follow a different schedule, and a covered visit includes what your Warranty and Maintenance Guide lists for that interval.
Are extra services an advisor recommends covered by ToyotaCare?
No. ToyotaCare covers only the factory recommended maintenance in your guide. Anything beyond that is your choice and your cost.
Does ToyotaCare Roadside Assistance work outside Washington?
Yes, anywhere in the continental U.S., Hawaii and Canada. The maintenance part of ToyotaCare is valid only in the continental U.S.
